Focus

My doctorate at TU Dresden (Chair of Heritage Conservation & Design) studies the old-town fabric of Tashkent - how its historic urban morphology formed, survived, and can be safeguarded.

Why it matters

Rapid change threatens the legibility of historic quarters. Documenting and understanding the fabric is the first step toward conserving it.

Method

Archival study, on-site survey and morphological analysis - bridging architectural history with field documentation across four research trips to Tashkent.
