VeraBIM
A web-based BIM quality-assurance tool I'm designing - load IFC in the browser, build checks as a visual node graph, and see pass/fail highlighted in 3D. Concept, in development.
The idea
Bring model checking into the browser. Drop in an IFC file, build quality-assurance rules visually as a node graph, and see the results highlighted in 3D - pass is green, fail is red. No install, no licence server.
What it does
- IFC in the browser - parsing runs client-side via web-ifc (WASM); nothing to set up.
- Visual rule editor - connect filters, property readers, comparisons and geometric checks (intersection, clearance, connection, penetration) into reusable rule sets.
- Rule-set interchange - import and export
.csetrule-set files so existing rulesets keep working. - 3D viewer - click a result to jump to the element; pass/fail counts per rule and per element, with BCF export for the wider coordination workflow.
Status
Personal R&D - concept and product design owned end-to-end, currently in active development. It grew directly out of my BIM-coordination and custom rule-writing work.
